South Jordan City utilizes BidSync to post all requests for bids (RFBs), proposals (RFPs), and qualifications (RFQs). This is a FREE service. Vendors should subscribe by following the BidSync link above.

It is the policy of South Jordan City that all purchasing shall be conducted strictly in accordance with the laws of the State of Utah and policies adopted by South Jordan City. The City will consider:

  • The price
  • The quality of the product
  • The suitability of the product for the intended use.
  • The ability, experience, efficiency, integrity, and financial responsibility of the bidder. Where appropriate, the City shall require the bidder to demonstrate that it has a good safety record.

HOW DO I GET ON BIDDER'S LIST?

South Jordan City has joined with BidSync, LLC, for the distribution of solicitation information. Vendors who register with BidSync receive automatic notification regarding bids in their commodity class and may download specifications. This system brings together an extensive database of government agencies and vendors which enables us to improve our service to you by providing automatic bid notification and instant access to bid information via the web.

South Jordan City strongly urges ALL potential bidders to register with BidSync to ensure notice of all solicitations. There is no fee to potential bidders to register or use BidSync to respond to South Jordan City solicitations. Any questions on how to use BidSync's customer service department.

By subscribing to BidSync, the vendor certifies compliance with State and City regulations for a business license, sales tax number and non-discrimination requirements.

Vendors remain on the bidders' list as long as they continue in good standing with South Jordan City and return a bid request or respond with a "No Bid" to bid requests.

WHERE AND WHEN ARE SOLICITATIONS ADVERTISED?

  • RFB/RFP/RFQ solicitation notices are also listed on the City's web site by selecting "Current Bids".
  • RFB/RFP/RFQ specifications are listed and disseminated by BidSync.
HOW CAN I RECEIVE SOLICITATION INFORMATION?

  • Vendors registered with BidSync will automatically receive notification of RFB's, RFP's and RFQ's for the commodities they have chosen.
  • A list of current RFB's, RFP's and RFQ's will be displayed on the Purchasing website, under "Solicitations".
  • Vendors registered with BidSync will be able to download RFB's, RFP's and RFQ's directly from the website at no charge.
WHERE DO I SUBMIT MY RESPONSES TO RFB's/RFP's/RFQ's ?

South Jordan City prefers to receive all responses electronically. Responses may be submitted in electronic format via BidSync.

Late responses will NOT be accepted.

CAN AN RFB/RFP BE SENT BY FACSIMILE?

At this time there is no allowance for the receipt of RFQ's/RFB's/RFP's by facsimile.

WHEN AND WHERE ARE RFB's/RFP's OPENED?

RFB's/RFP's are opened/ decrypted on the date and time of the close listed in each individual RFB/RFP. This information is available online at BidSync for all to view.


MAY I SUBMIT A LATE SOLICITATION RESPONSE?

South Jordan City does not accept late sealed bids/competitive sealed proposals.

WHAT FACTORS DETERMINED TO WHOM THE SOLICITATION IS AWARDED?

All solicitations are awarded to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best bid taking into consideration all evaluating factors listed in the individual RFB/RFQ/RFP.
