South Jordan City owns a number of shares in the canals that direct water from Utah Lake. These canals include:
Utah Lake Distributing
Utah Salt Lake Canal
Welby Jacob Canal
South Jordan Canal
A portion of the water shares are used by the city's secondary water system, the remaining shares can be leased to any water user with legal access to one of the canals. Leases are made annually for the secondary water seasons. Interested parties should submit a completed application with payment to the South Jordan Water Department. See the application for pricing.
