Water is vital and important especially for the people who live in the state of Utah. Although drinking water in our state is limited, more than 50% of the available potable water in the state is used to irrigate residential landscapes. For this reason, the City of South Jordan, with the support of Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District, is promoting a water conservation program among residents and businesses that do not have access to secondary water and who wish to conserve water.
The South Jordan City water conservation program is a $250.00 rebate that residents will receive after the purchase of irrigation landscape products - a smart irrigation controller and an on-site weather station (restrictions apply). The promoted landscape products will help residents and businesses to decrease the amount of water used to irrigate landscapes, resulting also in lower water bills. This water conservation program will also help the water suppliers meet the ever growing water demands needed for the future.
The South Jordan City water conservation rebate program offer is valid only for residents and businesses within the South Jordan City boundaries with no access to secondary water and whose purchased landscape products are installed in a South Jordan City residence.
